Stoyan Bonchev was born in Sofia. He graduated with honors the Russian language high school “A.S. Pushkin” and the First English language High School “William Shakespeare”.
He graduated from the University of National and World Economy with master’s degree in economy, in the line”international economic relations”. Then he took special training for two years in a course in the Vienna University of Economy. He has worked in the judicial system, in governmental organizations as well as he has been holding a superior manager’s position in a private company.
He is engaged with singing since nine years under the supervision of Maestro Boiko Zvetanov. During this period he acquired master’s degree in classical singing from the New Bulgarian University, where he graduated a Master’s thesis “The contribution of Boris Christoff to the Bulgarian and global opera arts.”
He was a soloist of the Representative Ensemble of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Bulgaria as well as a soloist of the State Opera House of Stara Zagora.
At present he is founder and chairman of the “Boris Christoff” Music Foundaton.
